Cancer-Fighting Supplements

Evidence-based nutraceuticals to support your body's fight against cancer and enhance treatment outcomes.

Targeted Nutritional Support for Cancer

Nature provides powerful compounds that can support your body's fight against cancer. At Arizona Integrative Medical Center, we use evidence-based supplements with demonstrated anti-cancer properties as part of your comprehensive integrative oncology protocol.

Unlike random self-supplementation, our approach is strategic and personalized. We select specific supplements based on your cancer type, treatment plan, and individual biochemistry. Proper dosing, timing, and quality are essential - that's why supplement recommendations should come from practitioners experienced in integrative oncology.

Important Consideration

Not all supplements are appropriate during all phases of cancer treatment. Some supplements may need to be temporarily discontinued around chemotherapy or surgery. We carefully coordinate your supplement protocol with your conventional treatment schedule to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Examples of Supportive Supplements

Below are examples of nutritional supplements that may be considered as part of an individualized integrative-care plan. None of these are cancer treatments, and none replace conventional oncology care. Dr. Stallone selects a plan based on each patient's clinical picture, conventional treatment plan, and any drug-nutrient considerations.

Curcumin (Turmeric Extract)

Curcumin is a well-studied compound from turmeric used in integrative care for its general anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. We use bioavailable forms when appropriate.

Green Tea Extract (EGCG)

Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), the primary polyphenol in green tea, is an antioxidant studied in many wellness contexts and used in integrative supportive care.

Medicinal Mushrooms

Reishi, Turkey Tail, Maitake, Shiitake, and AHCC are studied for their immune-supportive properties and are used in integrative supportive protocols.

Modified Citrus Pectin (MCP)

A specially processed citrus pectin studied for various effects including binding to certain proteins; used in integrative supportive care.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids (Fish Oil)

Essential fats with well-established anti-inflammatory properties; often used to support general wellbeing and nutrition during cancer care.

Vitamin D3

A nutrient frequently low in patients undergoing cancer care. We test and supplement to support healthy serum levels.

Quercetin

A bioflavonoid with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity, used in integrative wellness protocols.

Resveratrol

A polyphenol antioxidant from grapes and other plants, studied in many wellness contexts.

  • Quality Products: Using professional-grade, tested supplements
  • Ongoing Monitoring: Adjusting protocols based on response and changing needs
  • Education: Explaining why each supplement is included
